i heart pine cones

My day started out pretty early when Mom and Dad caught a whiff of pee at 2 am. I had lifted up my blanket and peed under there. I thought I was pretty smart. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad didn't think so. They quickly cleaned up my crate and got me outside. When I was outside, I didn't have to go so we went back inside and I went back in my crate. They took away my blanket so I didn't have anything in there. We were all settled down when all of a sudden, I got the urge to pee again. Mom and Dad got up real fast that time because they could hear my pee hitting the floor of my crate. I don't think Mom and Dad slept much that night.

After breakfast in the morning, I had my first poop at my new house. It was even outside! I know my parents were really proud.

Unfortunately, Dad came home from work and found poop in my crate. I was so happy to see him that I jumped up and touched him with my poop paws. I had to spend a few hours outside because my crate had to be cleaned and Dad couldn't do it until Mom came home. I had a lot of time to sniff and pick up pine cones. They are wonderful, but Mom and Dad don't let me hold onto them for very long.

I was able to see a lot of new things while I was outside. I wanted to let people know that there's a new dog in town, so I let out my best bark. I think everyone was surprised that my bark is so mature. It comes with the beard. Daddy was so proud.

I met Ann, Pattie and Josh yesterday. Josh is about my size. And we both like pine cones. He kept saying, "My pine cones are sticky!" His bike scared me because it made so much noise. It will take getting used to, but I hope we can be friends.

I also ran into some teenage kids bouncing a basketball. I blame it on MTV.

Right before bedtime, I was able to have another poop. This made my parents very happy for the night.

First Night with my New Parents

I went to my forever home today. After living with Shawne in Parkton, MD for the past four months and seeing my five of my six brothers and sisters leave, I was ready for some new adventures of my own. I said bye to my dog mom, Claire, and headed off with my new parents.

It was a long ride and I got sick. Twice. Don't worry, I won't let food go to waste. I ate it all back up!

Once I got to my new home, I got to walk on a leash and sniff around outside. There is a wonderful pine fresh scent that I can't seem to get enough of.

Mom and Dad got me comfortable in my crate, but I didn't want to sleep in the foyer so I cried and cried. They then decided that I should sleep in the bedroom with them. I was so happy and slept for a few hours until... I had to pee.

I peed under my blanket and then covered it up. Mom and Dad didn't know for awhile and they took me out but I didn't go. Then they put me back in my crate without a blanket. Not long after the lights went out, I peed again.

I will do better tomorrow, I promise!
